London investor buys into Yorkshire's next hub

When London investor Chris Okolo first visited City Lofts St Pauls in Sheffield, he immediately decided to buy an apartment off-plan. Drawn to the development’s high specification and Sheffield’s regeneration plans, he believes his apartment has great investment potential.

Chris, who lives in Dagenham, Essex comments: “As the cost of living in London continues to increase, more companies are relocating to northern cities – just think of the BBC’s move to Manchester. Sheffield has been attracting more and more blue chip companies recently and I believe it will become the next hub of Yorkshire. This is my second buy-to-let investment, I also have bought a property in Liverpool, another northern city undergoing huge regeneration.”

Chris continues: “I wanted to buy with a top notch developer and architect to increase the rental potential and value of my apartment, and the high standards of City Lofts and Conran & Partners seemed ideal. I decided to buy a one-bedroom apartment, which is great value compared to London prices. The internal specification is some of the best I’ve seen and rivals developments in the capital. This coupled with its city centre location means I believe it will readily appeal to blue chip tenants.”

Andy Hurst, Sales and Marketing Director comments: “City Lofts St Pauls is becoming increasingly recognised as an attractive property hotspot for investors. The development offers the highest specification apartments in Sheffield and has become a benchmark for other schemes.”

City Lofts St Paul’s is a landmark development comprising 316 one and two-bedroom apartments set in two interlinking 12 and 32 storey towers in the heart of Sheffield City Centre. Designed by Conran and Partners, Sir Terrence Conran architectural practice, the development is part of the extensive Heart of The City regeneration project and will create Sheffield’s tallest building acting as an iconic marker for the rejuvenated city centre.

Located to the south of Sheffield Town Hall, in St Pauls’ Square, City Lofts St Pauls has been designed to create a striking, modern building, which complements historical buildings that surround it. The light and slender towers create architectural forms that are both original and elegant, whilst high quality traditional and modern materials have been used to ensure the building’s lasting contribution to the skyline.

The specification throughout City Lofts St Pauls is of the highest standard with apartments benefiting from bespoke Conran designed kitchens and bathroom furniture, stone worktops, travertine natural stone tiling and a combination of timber and carpeted flooring.  All apartments feature full-height glazing offering excellent natural light and a sense of space, which is further enhanced by the lobbyless arrangements. For added security each apartment has a video entry phone and a solid walnut veneer entrance door with a five-lever lock and ironmongery.  The development also benefits from a glass fronted lift and concierge service. Secure parking is available.

Prices for the remaining apartments at City Lofts St Pauls start from £200,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. For further information please visit the Sales and Marketing Suite adjacent to the development, call the selling agents Knight Frank on 0114 272 3855 or visit www.citylofts.co.uk
